Project: Wool and Wax Tote
The Wool and Wax Tote is our best selling class! Make this attractive and professional looking tote bag with canvas, leather straps, and rivets.
This course is one session. We will meet:
- Saturday from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm; may take less time depending on class attendance.
Kim will teach you how to make a Wool and Wax Tote which includes learning to make a lined bag with boxed corners and how to attach leather straps and rivets.
This course is for Beginners:
- Beginner: I have never made a bag before but I know how to use a sewing machine. I can thread my machine and sew a straight seam. I know how to backstitch.
Prepwork and Homework:
You must purchase, cut your fabrics, and interface your fabrics prior to class! Class time is for sewing only.
Please drop in and buy your supplies prior to the class. No need to schedule, just drop in!
Supplies purchased for a class receive a 10% discount.
You will need the following items:
- Everyday Essentials by Noodlehead
- Fabric and interfacing needed for bag (find supply list inside of Everyday Essentials)
- Wool and Wax hardware Kit in your choice of Black or Brown Leather

You are free to bring any supplies you like that fit within the confines of your 24"x48" table! But we provide the ironing station: irons, ironing mats, starch, spray bottle/mister. We also provide, cutting mat, basic rulers (some classes require specialty rulers), rotary cutters, scissors, and snips. Some items will be yours for the day, some will be shared amongst the class.

Once you purchase the class, you are obligated to take the class or forfeit the class fee in the event you cannot make it. There are two exceptions and two exceptions only. 1) You cancel prior to 14 days before the start of the class. For example, a class is held on June 14th, you have to cancel by May 31st. June 1st or after, you will not receive a refund 2) We will also refund you in the event that there is a waiting list AND someone from that waiting list fills your spot. Refunds can take up to ten business days to process. If it has been ten business days and we have not refunded you, please contact us and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
In the event that the class has low participation, we reserve the right to cancel the class within one week prior to the start date. And we will promptly refund you the entire class fee. We will email you at the email address we have on record to notify you of the cancellation at least one week prior to the class start date. If you do not hear from us, that means the class is on!
